Born and raised in Orange County, California, Matt Talbert was immersed in art from a young age. With a photographer for a father and very supportive mother, Matt was always incouraged to pursue his art. His training began at the Orange County High School of the Arts, where he was mentored by many of the community's leading professionals. Realizing that he had a passion for painting, he decided to attend the Laguna College of Art and Design, right in the heart of the Laguna Beach art district. It was there that his love for figure painting was born and a foundation of classical drawing and painting skills were honed.

After earning his Bachelor's Degree Matt headed to New York City, where he was intensely inspired by the architecture and people. He painted scenes depicting life in the city as well as many portrait commissions. With a love for both coasts, Matt recently moved back to Southern California. He currently resides in Costa Mesa where he works on portrait commissions and paintings for galleries.
